Faxon Firearms Duty Series AR-15 5.56 NATO 11.5" Gunner Barrel - Black Nitride

The Faxon Firearms Duty Series Gunner Barrel is a standalone 11.5" AR-15 barrel chambered in 5.56 NATO. Its compact format and lightweight Gunner profile are designed with sustained suppressor use in mind, while the installed M4 barrel extension provides compatibility with standard AR-15 upper receivers and bolts.

Faxon machines this barrel from certified 4150 chrome-moly-vanadium steel. The Gunner profile combines a Government-style taper behind the gas block with a straight forward section ending at a full muzzle shoulder. It is button rifled with a 1:8 twist, then treated with a black nitride finish inside and outside.

The barrel uses a mid-length direct gas system with a .625" gas-block diameter and 1.7" gas-block journal. Its muzzle has 1/2x28 threads, a full shoulder and an 11-degree target crown. The thread pattern accepts compatible brakes, compensators and direct-thread suppressors.

For suppressed configurations, Faxon recommends an adjustable low-profile gas block to tune the comparatively large gas port used on this short barrel. The barrel weighs approximately 1.14 lb, balancing compact dimensions with a profile intended for controlled weight distribution.
