The Faxon Firearms Duty Series 16" 5.56 NATO barrel is a Mil-Spec M4-profile upgrade for any AR-15 build. Machined from 4150 CMV steel and finished with a chrome-lined bore and Chrome Mag Phosphate exterior, this barrel is built to handle hard use and extended firing schedules while meeting the dimensional standards of the original military M4 carbine.

The button-rifled bore features a 1:7" twist rate, the military standard for stabilizing the full range of 5.56 NATO projectiles. The M4 contour measures 0.750" under the handguard and pairs with standard carbine handguards, while the carbine-length gas system keeps the operating impulse tame for reliable function with both commercial and Mil-Spec bolt carrier groups.

Chrome lining on the bore gives the grooves a hard, corrosion-resistant surface that shrugs off heat and fouling, while the black phosphate exterior finish matches a Mil-Spec build and is fully compatible with standard AR-15 barrel nuts, gas blocks, and free-float handguards.
