The Faxon Firearms ARAK-21 is a complete 5.56x45mm NATO upper receiver assembly engineered around a patented long-stroke gas piston operating system with dual reciprocating operating rods, a notably different approach from the traditional direct-impingement AR-15 platform. Designed to drop onto any standard AR-15 lower receiver, this upper brings gas-piston reliability, reduced fouling, and cooler-running operation to the familiar AR manual of arms.

At the heart of the ARAK-21 is a 16-inch barrel mated to a detented 5-position gas regulator that allows the shooter to tune cycling for everything from suppressed fire to commercial and military-grade 5.56/.223 ammunition. The free-float handguard is outfitted with three full-length aluminum Picatinny rails, giving a continuous mounting surface for optics, lights, lasers, and forward grips.
