Faxon Firearms AR-15/M16 5.56 NATO/300 Blackout Bolt Carrier Group - Nitride

The Faxon Firearms Superfinished Bolt Carrier Group is a complete M16-profile assembly for AR-15-pattern rifles in 5.56x45mm NATO and 300 Blackout. Its superfinished carrier body is designed to reduce friction, support smooth operation and limit fouling within the action.

The bolt is machined from 9310 tool steel, fully heat-treated, shot-peened and magnetic-particle inspected. A QPQ salt-bath-nitride finish covers the bolt, while 45-degree chamfers on the rear faces of the locking lugs refine engagement during cycling. The installed extractor system includes the extractor spring, insert and Crane O-ring. The extractor itself is made from fully heat-treated, shot-peened S7 tool steel with a QPQ nitride finish.

The 8620 steel carrier has forward-assist serrations and a black QPQ salt-bath-nitride finish. Its gas key is made from heat-treated 4140 steel, sealed with Permatex, secured with Grade 8 fasteners and properly staked. A pre-hardened 4140 steel cam pin with the same QPQ nitride treatment completes the assembly.

This New bolt carrier group uses an M16/full-auto-profile carrier compatible with full-auto fire-control systems. The carrier profile by itself does not convert a rifle to automatic operation.
