The Faxon Firearms Superfinished 5.56 M16 Bolt Carrier Group in Chrome is a drop-in component built for AR-15 and M16 pattern rifles chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO.

Faxon machines the bolt from 9310 tool steel and the carrier from 8620 steel. The bolt is fully heat-treated to MIL-SPEC, shot peened, and Magnetic Particle Inspected (MPI) for batch consistency and long service life. The carrier and bolt wear surfaces are superfinished to reduce friction and fouling, while the bolt wears a hard chrome finish rated at approximately 68 to 72 HRC for outstanding surface hardness, corrosion resistance, and easy cleaning under high round counts.
