Fail Zero's signature EXO Nickel Boron coating reduces friction across the bolt and carrier for smoother function, easier cleaning, and improved corrosion resistance. The carrier is machined from 8620 steel and the bolt from MIL-SPEC Carpenter 158 steel, the same material combination used in service-grade M16 and AR-15 bolts.
