The Evolution Gun Works Savage 42 Picatinny Rail is a one-piece scope base precision-machined specifically for the Savage Model 42. Cut from domestic 6061-T6 extruded aluminum and finished in low-glare matte black anodizing, this rail gives Savage 42 owners a solid MIL-STD-1913 mounting platform for any optic with a Picatinny or Weaver-style foot.

EGW machines every Picatinny rail to MIL-STD-1913 specifications, with full-length cross slots that allow flexibility in ring placement and scope positioning along the length of the base.
