E.M.F. Hartford SXS 12 Gauge 20" 2-Rd Break-Action Shotgun

The E.M.F. Hartford SxS is a faithful reproduction of the classic 1878 Colt Hartford Coach Gun, manufactured in Italy by F.LLI Pietta and imported by E.M.F. as a side-by-side 12 Gauge double-barrel shotgun. The short 20-inch blued barrels are paired with a traditional wood buttstock and forend, capturing the look and handling of the late 19th-century American coach gun that armed stagecoach guards, lawmen, and travelers across the Old West.

The Hartford SxS is a true break-action design that opens at the breech for loading. Two rounds of 2-3/4" shells are chambered directly into the barrels - one in each tube - for a total 2-round capacity. Genuine working external hammers ride at the rear of the breech and must be manually thumbed down onto each firing pin, giving the Hartford the deliberate, hammer-cocking operation of an original coach gun rather than the feel of a modern hammerless double.

A simple bead front sight sits at the muzzle for quick target acquisition, and the gun is set up for right-handed shooters. The barrels carry a polished blued finish and the gun is built around a traditional wood stock that delivers the old-school coach-gun character that makes this a natural choice for cowboy action shooting competition, Old West reenactment, or a short-range defensive utility piece.
