This two-piece mount features an internal ring and base design precision-machined from a solid block of top-grade 6061-T6 billet aluminum, finished in a low-glare matte black to blend with factory rifle finishes. The two mounts together weigh only 2 to 3 ounces, adding negligible heft to the rifle.

Built to fit both long and short action Howa 1500 rifles, the Game Reaper 2 secures the scope with high 1 in rings. Each ring measures 1.20 in long front and rear, providing substantially more clamping surface than conventional ring-and-base designs to spread recoil stress across the scope tube and reduce the chance of scope damage from over-tightening or recoil. The 6-48 x 1/4 in ring screws clamp the scope without requiring lapping, and the two-piece base design mounts directly to the receiver for a repeatable, rock-solid return to zero.
