At the heart of the rifle is the break-open Rolling Block action, which pivots on a hinge to chamber a single round at a time. A 30" blued round steel barrel is fitted to a blued steel receiver, giving the metalwork a uniform, low-glare finish across the entire rifle. The barrel is rifled with a 1:18" twist to stabilize both lead and jacketed .45-70 Government projectiles.
