The Davide Pedersoli Howdah Alaskan revives the classic British colonial-era "howdah" pistol carried by hunters and travelers as a last-line defense against large predators. Chambered for the dual-purpose combination of .45 Colt and .410 Bore (3" chamber), this Italian-made reproduction pairs a pair of 10.25" rifled barrels with a traditional break-open action and double triggers.

Built for serious field use, the Howdah Alaskan features a rugged synthetic stock and a matte stainless steel finish on the frame and barrels for corrosion resistance in wet and harsh environments. The break-open top latch allows quick loading of either a single .45 Colt cartridge or a 3" .410 Bore shell, while the classic double triggers deliver independent firing of the right and left barrels. Each barrel is rifled with 6 grooves at a 1:48 right-hand twist to stabilize both .45 Colt slugs and .410 Bore projectiles.
