The Davide Pedersoli 1874 Sharps Cavalry is an Italian-made reproduction of the legendary American single-shot falling-block rifle that saw action across the post-Civil War frontier. Chambered in the historic .45-70 Government cartridge, this Cavalry Carbine configuration pairs a compact 22" round barrel with a color case hardened receiver and a classic walnut fixed stock.
Built to the original 1874 Sharps pattern, the action is a manual falling-block design that chambers a single round at a time. The blued barrel is retained by steel bands in the traditional Cavalry layout, and is rifled with a 1:18" twist suited to the original .45-70 Government loading. Iron sights are period-correct: a fixed blade front paired with a Lawrence-type rear ladder sight adjustable for longer-range work.
The walnut fixed stock is finished in a warm brown tone in the traditional Cavalry carbine layout. At 39.19" overall length and weighing 8.37 lbs, this carbine-length Sharps handles like the original Cavalry issue, making it an excellent choice for Cowboy Action Shooting, historical reenactment, and traditional hunting. This is a current-production Davide Pedersoli rifle imported new from Italy.
