Daniel Defense DDM4 M4A1 5.56x45mm NATO 14.5" 10+1 Semi-Auto Rifle

The Daniel Defense DDM4 M4A1 is an AR-15-style M4 carbine from the M4A1 CA Compliant series. Chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, it uses a semi-automatic, direct-impingement action with a carbine-length gas system. Catalog capacity is 10+1 rounds with a 10-round Magpul PMAG, and its stated purposes are personal protection and sport.

The rifle has a 14.5" cold-hammer-forged chrome-moly-vanadium steel barrel with an M4 profile, chrome lining, heavy phosphate coating, HP/MPI testing, and a 1:7 twist. Its catalog barrel-length range is 14" to 14.99". The muzzle has 1/2x28 threads and a permanently pinned and welded Daniel Defense extended flash suppressor made from 17-4 PH stainless steel with a salt-bath-nitride finish.

Mil-spec upper and lower receivers are CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with black hardcoat anodizing. The barrel and gas-system components wear a black phosphate finish, giving the rifle its specified Black Hardcoat Anodized/Black Phosphate metal finish. The catalog metal-finish group is Blued/Black. The lower receiver has an enhanced flared magazine well and rear QD sling-swivel attachment point, while the upper includes indexing marks and M4 feed ramps.

A Flat Dark Earth Daniel Defense M4A1 RIS II free-floating Picatinny quad rail surrounds the barrel. CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, the rail provides mounting space for compatible sights, optics, and accessories. The rifle is supplied with Optic Ready sights, meaning no iron sights are included and sights are sold separately.

Internal components include a pinned low-profile 4140 hardened-steel gas block, an M16-profile mil-spec bolt-carrier group with an MP-tested bolt, a chrome-lined carrier, a properly staked gas key, and an H buffer. The independently ambidextrous GRIP-N-RIP charging handle supports left- or right-handed manipulation. Controls include a mil-spec trigger and a manual frame-mounted thumb safety, while the rifle itself is a right-hand configuration.

The six-position stock rides on a mil-spec 7075-T6 aluminum receiver extension. The black Daniel Defense glass-filled-polymer buttstock and pistol grip both feature SoftTouch overmolding. Overall length is 34.25" to 37.88", depending on stock position. Product weight is 6.74 lbs, placing it in the catalog weight range of 6 lbs to 6.99 lbs.

Made in the USA, the rifle includes a Daniel Defense full-latch impact-plastic case and Santoprene rail panels rated for heat resistance up to 300 F. This California-compliant M4A1 configuration is offered in New Condition.
