Daniel Defense DD5 V4 Gen II 7.62x51mm NATO 18" 20+1 Semi-Auto Rifle - Mil-Spec Brown Cerakote

The Daniel Defense DD5 V4 Gen II is a right-handed semi-auto centerfire rifle chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO and compatible with .308 Winchester. Its 20+1 capacity, SR-25-pattern magazine compatibility and precision-oriented configuration make it suited to long-range shooting applications.

The 18" S2W-profile barrel, within the listed 18" to 18.99" barrel-length range, is cold-hammer-forged from Daniel Defense proprietary steel, chrome lined and finished with a Mil-Spec heavy phosphate coating. A 1:11 twist supports the chambering, while the rifle-length direct-impingement gas system uses a user-adjustable 4140 hardened-steel gas block for suppressed or unsuppressed operation. The muzzle is fitted with the DD Superior Suppression Device, made from 17-4 PH stainless steel with a salt-bath-nitride finish.

The upper and lower receivers are CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with Type III hard-coat anodizing and a Mil-Spec Brown Cerakote exterior finish. The lower incorporates an enhanced flared magazine well and a rear QD sling-swivel attachment point. A 15" DD5 Rail, machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and Type III hard-coat anodized, provides M-LOK attachment slots and uses Daniel Defense's model-specific four-bolt connection system. The rifle is optic ready.

Inside, the DD5 uses a superfinished, DLC-coated bolt-carrier group with a carrier buffer, enhanced extractor geometry and dual ejectors. Its controls include an independently ambidextrous GRIP-N-RIP charging handle with anti-gas features and a Daniel Defense Mil-Spec trigger.

Black furniture includes a 6-position stock with SoftTouch overmolding and a black pistol grip. Both furniture pieces are made from glass-filled polymer with SoftTouch overmolding, and the Mil-Spec receiver extension is 7075-T6 aluminum. Overall length adjusts from 35.38" to 39". The listed firearm weight is 8.60 lbs, placing it within the stated 8 lbs to 8.99 lbs weight range. This USA-made rifle combines black furniture with its brown metal finish.
