Daniel Defense DD5 V4 Gen II 6.5 Creedmoor 18" 20+1 Semi-Auto Rifle - Mil-Spec Brown

The Daniel Defense DD5 V4 Gen II is a full-size semi-automatic rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor and configured for long-range precision shooting. It combines an 18" barrel, 20+1 capacity, and compatibility with SR-25 pattern magazines in an optic-ready platform made in the USA.

Its DD proprietary-steel S2W-profile barrel is cold hammer forged, chrome lined, and protected by a heavy phosphate coating. The barrel is classified in the 18" to 18.99" barrel-length range and uses a 1:8 twist, rifle-length direct-impingement gas system, and user-adjustable 4140 hardened-steel gas block for suppressed or unsuppressed operation. The 5/8x24 threaded muzzle is fitted with a Daniel Defense Superior Suppression Device made from 17-4 PH stainless steel with a salt-bath-nitride finish.

The upper and lower receivers are CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and Type III hard-coat anodized. Daniel Defense's four-bolt barrel-to-receiver connection system secures the barrel assembly, while the lower receiver incorporates an enhanced flared magazine well and a rear QD sling-swivel attachment point. A 15" DD5 Rail machined from 6061-T6 aluminum provides M-LOK attachment slots and a Type III hard-coat anodized surface.

The operating components include a superfinished, DLC-coated bolt-carrier group, buffered carrier, and a bolt with enhanced extractor geometry and dual ejectors. Controls include a manual thumb safety, Daniel Defense Mil-Spec trigger, and an independently ambidextrous GRIP-N-RIP charging handle with anti-gas features. This right-hand rifle is optic ready; no iron sights are identified for this configuration.

The stock configuration is a 6 Position with SoftTouch Overmolding design mounted on a Mil-Spec receiver extension made from 7075-T6 aluminum. The Daniel Defense buttstock and pistol grip use glass-filled polymer with Soft Touch overmolding. Overall length adjusts from 35.38" to 39". Listed weight is 8.60 lbs, placing the rifle in the 8 lbs to 8.99 lbs weight range.

The rifle is finished in Mil-Spec Brown Cerakote with black furniture. This is a new Daniel Defense rifle.
