Daniel Defense DD5 V4 6.5 Creedmoor 18" 10+1 Semi-Auto Rifle - CA Compliant

The Daniel Defense DD5 V4 is a California-compliant, right-hand semi-auto rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. Its official series designation is V4 *CA Compliant, and its precision-capable, extended-range configuration combines an 18" barrel, 10+1 capacity, and a rifle-length direct-impingement gas system.

The proprietary steel S2W heavy-profile barrel is cold-hammer forged, chrome lined, and protected by a mil-spec heavy phosphate coating. It has a 1:8" twist, 5/8x24 muzzle threads, and a DD Superior Suppression Device. The 18" barrel falls within the specified 18" to 18.99" barrel-length range. A user-adjustable gas block supports suppressed or unsuppressed operation, while the DD-designed bolt-carrier group is intended to reduce recoil impulse and simplify maintenance.

The upper and lower receivers are CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and wear a black Type III hard-coat-anodized finish, with the metal finish group classified as Blued/Black. The lower includes an enhanced flared magazine well and rear QD sling-swivel attachment point. A 15" aluminum M-LOK handguard provides an accessory-mounting interface, and the rifle is optic ready.

California compliance is provided by a magazine-release arrangement that cannot be operated while the rifle is fully assembled. An extended rear takedown pin with a paracord pull loop allows the upper and lower receivers to separate so the magazine can be released. Other controls include a standard safety-selector switch and mil-spec trigger.

The black 6 Position w/SoftTouch Overmolding stock and Daniel Defense pistol grip are made from glass-filled polymer. Overall length adjusts from 35.38" to 39" with the muzzle device installed. The rifle weighs 8.60 lbs, placing it within the specified 8 lbs to 8.99 lbs weight range. The DD5 platform accepts SR-25-pattern magazines.

This New rifle includes one 10-round magazine and a Daniel Defense full-latch impact-plastic carrying case.
