Daniel Defense DD5 V3 7.62x51mm NATO 16" 10+1 Semi-Auto Rifle - CA Compliant

The Daniel Defense DD5 V3 is a right-handed semi-automatic rifle chambered for 7.62x51mm NATO and 308 Winchester. Its full series designation is V3 *CA Compliant. This configuration has a 10+1 capacity and uses a California-compliant magazine-release mechanism for shooters who want the large-frame DD5 platform in a compliant configuration.

The rifle uses a 16" cold-hammer-forged barrel with a black phosphate finish, 1:11" twist and 5/8x24 muzzle threads. Its listed barrel-length range is 16" to 16.99". A DD Superior Suppression Device is installed at the muzzle. The adjustable intermediate gas system is intended to maintain consistent operation when the rifle is used suppressed or unsuppressed, while the bolt-carrier-group design is engineered to reduce recoil impulse and simplify maintenance.

The receiver is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and has a black Type III hard-coat anodized finish. The listed metal finish is Black Hardcoat Anodized, with a Blued/Black metal finish group. A four-bolt barrel-to-upper connection increases the mating surface between the components for greater rigidity and stability. The 15" aluminum DD5 M-LOK rail provides space for compatible accessories.

This DD5 V3 is optic ready, and no sights are included. Ambidextrous controls include the bolt catch, magazine release and safety selector. The specified safety is a Safety Selector Switch, and the fire-control group uses a Mil-Spec trigger. For California compliance, the magazine release cannot be operated while the rifle is fully assembled. Pulling the cord-equipped extended rear takedown pin separates the upper and lower sufficiently to permit operation of the magazine release.

The black stock is described as 6 Position with SoftTouch Overmolding and is paired with a black polymer grip. Overall length adjusts from 33.38" to 37". Listed firearm weight is 8.30 lbs, within the specified 8 lbs to 8.99 lbs weight range.

This New rifle includes one 10-round PMAG and a Daniel Defense full-latch, impact-resistant hard plastic case. It accepts SR-25-pattern magazines.
