Daniel Defense DD4 RIII 5.56x45mm NATO 16" 30+1 Semi-Auto Rifle

The Daniel Defense DD4 RIII is an AR-15-style semi-auto rifle built for shooting sports, tactical use, and defensive applications. It is chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, is also compatible with .223 Remington, and feeds from a detachable 30-round Daniel Defense magazine for a 30+1 capacity.

Its 16" Government-profile barrel, within the 16" to 16.99" barrel-length range, is cold-hammer-forged from chrome-moly-vanadium steel, chrome-lined, heavy-phosphate-coated, and HP/MPI tested. A 1:7 twist supports a broad range of common 5.56 projectiles. The rifle uses a mid-length direct-impingement gas system with a pinned, low-profile 4140 hardened-steel gas block and H buffer. At the muzzle, a salt-bath-nitride-finished 17-4 PH stainless steel Daniel Defense flash suppressor mounts to 1/2x28 threads.

The upper and lower receivers are CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a black Type III hard-coat anodized finish. The fully ambidextrous lower has a flared magazine well and rear QD sling-swivel attachment point. A 12.5" Flat Dark Earth RIS III handguard, machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and Type III hard-coat anodized, provides M-LOK accessory mounting and a continuous Picatinny top rail.

A fully ambidextrous bolt catch, magazine release, safety selector, and GRIP-N-RIP charging handle support right- or left-handed operation without requiring the shooter to remove the dominant hand from the grip. The M16-profile bolt-carrier group has a chrome-lined carrier, properly staked gas key, and magnetic-particle-tested bolt. No iron sights are included; the Picatinny top rail is ready for a separately purchased sighting system.

The six-position mil-spec 7075-T6 aluminum receiver extension carries a black Daniel Defense buttstock, paired with a matching pistol grip. Both furniture components are made from glass-filled polymer with SoftTouch overmolding. Overall length adjusts from 32.25" to 35.88". Unloaded weight is 6.52 lbs, placing the rifle within the 6 lbs to 6.99 lbs weight range.

This rifle is in New condition. It includes one 30-round Daniel Defense magazine and a Daniel Defense Full-Latch impact-resistant plastic case.
