The Daniel Defense DD Barrel is a 14.5" barrel chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO and built for the AR-15 platform. It is Cold Hammer Forged from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium Steel, a process in which intense hydraulic pressure is applied at opposing angles by carbide steel hammers.
The 1:7" twist rate is paired with a Midlength gas system configuration for reliable cycling. The Lightweight Profile keeps the front of the build balanced.
A Black Phosphate finish coats the steel. The barrel ships with no sights installed, making it a straightforward choice for builders running a free-float handguard and low-profile gas block. It is well suited for assembling a new AR-15 build or replacing a worn barrel.
