The CVA AC1748 Paramount T-I Breech Plug is a factory replacement breech plug engineered specifically for .40 caliber CVA Paramount muzzleloader rifles. Built around CVA's VariFlame ignition system, this plug is designed to fire off a standard large rifle primer, delivering the consistent, reliable ignition that Paramount shooters expect in the field.

The AC1748 is constructed from steel with a tungsten core/insert, putting a high-density, heat-tolerant alloy right where the primer flame hits the powder charge. This combination is built to handle the pressures and fouling of muzzleloader use while resisting erosion at the ignition point. A stainless steel finish gives the plug a bright silver appearance and long-term corrosion resistance when the rifle is cleaned, stored, or carried in damp conditions.
