The Crickett KSA2243 My First Rifle is a single-shot bolt action rimfire chambered in .22 LR, purpose-built by Keystone Sporting Arms as a compact youth rifle for new and smaller-statured shooters learning the fundamentals of marksmanship.

A 16.13" stainless steel barrel is paired with a blued, drilled and tapped receiver that is ready to accept scope mounts for shooters who want to grow into optics. Fixed front and adjustable rear iron sights come standard for open-sight practice. The desert tan synthetic stock with webbing pattern is rugged and weather-resistant, with an 11.5" length of pull properly proportioned for right-handed youth shooters.

The action uses manual cocking with a single-stage trigger breaking between 2.5 and 3 lbs. A rebounding firing pin safety prevents an accidental discharge unless the bolt is fully closed and the trigger is deliberately pulled, giving parents and instructors confidence in the handling of this rifle. The single-shot design is fed one .22 LR cartridge at a time through the bolt, with a total capacity of 1 round.

At just 3 lbs and 30" overall, the Crickett My First Rifle is light enough for extended range sessions and sized correctly for hunting small game or target practice.
