The Crickett 00002 "The Original Youth Deluxe" is a single-shot bolt-action .22 LR rifle purpose-built to introduce new and younger shooters to the shooting sports. Made in the USA by Keystone Sporting Arms, this lightweight trainer pairs traditional styling with the operating simplicity a first-time shooter can manage, chambered for .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle cartridges.

At the core sits a 16.10" blued tapered steel barrel screwed into a matching blued steel receiver. The bolt carries an upgraded metal cocking knob for smooth, positive cycling and clear tactile indication of firing-pin status, and a dedicated firing-pin safety keeps the action locked until the shooter deliberately cocks it. The 1:16" rifling twist stabilizes standard .22 LR projectiles, and the sighting system pairs a fixed front blade with an adjustable peep rear for accurate range work.

The Deluxe treatment shows in the richly figured fixed American walnut stock, finished in a warm Brown/Tan tone that complements the blued metalwork. Loading is simplified by the integrated EZ loader at the breech, allowing a fresh round to be chambered quickly and safely. At an overall length of 30" and weighing between 2 and 3 lbs, the rifle is properly scaled for smaller-statured shooters yet comfortable enough for adult supervision during off-hand and bench shooting.
