The Columbia River CRKT 4042 Provoke First Responder is a folding karambit designed by Joe Caswell and built around CRKT's innovative Kinematic opening system. Pushing the thumb stud swings the hawkbill-style blade out in a smooth arc and locks it open in a fully deployed position for safe, confident handling.

The 2.41" hawkbill blade is forged from D2 tool steel and finished with a black titanium nitride (TiN) coating for corrosion resistance and a low-visibility, non-reflective surface. The plain edge is configured for aggressive slicing, and the karambit-inspired curved profile excels at utility cuts and defensive applications.

The handle is machined from black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum, keeping the overall weight at just 6.10 oz. Measuring 5.06" closed and 7.25" overall when open, the Provoke First Responder carries compactly and deploys fast when needed.

The First Responder configuration adds a ceramic glass breaker integrated into the handle and ships with a Boltaron sheath for secure carry on a duty belt or pack.
