Colt Mfg Defender Compact 9mm Luger 3" 8+1 SAO Pistol

The Colt Defender is a carry-ready compact 1911-style semi-auto pistol chambered in 9mm Luger. Purpose-built for personal protection and everyday concealed carry, the Defender delivers the time-tested 1911 shooting experience in a sub-compact package with a shortened 3" black steel barrel and an 8+1 capacity.

The slide is machined from blued carbon steel with serrated sides for confident slide manipulation, and is topped with Novak night sights for quick, intuitive target acquisition in low light. The matte black Cerakote aluminum frame is finished with Colt's signature upswept beavertail grip extension, giving the Defender its light 24 oz carry weight while preserving the classic 1911 ergonomics and high-hand position.

The single-action trigger and ambidextrous grip safety keep the manual controls simple and intuitive, while the Black Cherry Tactical G10 grip panels provide a secure, textured hold. At an overall length of 6.75", the Defender is sized to disappear under a cover garment yet still points and shoots like a full-size 1911.
