The Colt Defender Compact is a compact pistol chambered in 45 ACP for personal protection and sporting use. It uses a single-action-only (SAO) action, a 3" black steel barrel, and a 7+1 capacity.

The Defender combines a blued, serrated slide with an aluminum frame wearing a matte black Cerakote finish. Its frame configuration includes a beavertail and grip safety, while the listed control configuration is ambidextrous. Black Cherry tactical G10 grips complete the pistol.
