The Colt Competition Plus is a full-size 1911-style semi-automatic pistol chambered in 45 ACP and built for competitive shooting. This Series 70 platform pistol features a 5" barrel, an 8+1 capacity, and a steel frame and slide finished in a distinctive two-tone treatment that sets the Competition Plus apart from other Colt Competition models.

The Competition Plus adds 25 LPI front strap checkering to the grip frame for a secure hold under recoil, along with G10 Black and Grey grips that complement the two-tone finish. Target-grade controls include a Series 70 firing system with a traditional-style hammer and sear, and the sights are Novak adjustable fiber optic units designed for fast, precise sight acquisition on the range.
