The Colt Competition is a purpose-built 1911-style single-action semi-automatic pistol chambered in 38 Super, tuned from the factory for competitive shooting. Part of Colt's Series 70 Competition line, it pairs a 5" National Match barrel with the classic single-stack 1911 platform and a 9+1 round capacity.

The slide and frame are machined from stainless steel and finished in a bright stainless sheen, with front and rear serrations for sure-handed manipulation. A 3-hole aluminum trigger shoe and a bobbed hammer keep the profile clean and snag-free, while the pronounced beavertail grip safety and blue G10 competition grips round out the controls. Colt's dual recoil spring system softens the 38 Super's snap and extends spring life over high round counts.

National Match fixed sights ride on top of the slide for precise shot placement. The pistol ships with one 9-round magazine, measures 8.5" overall, and weighs roughly 36 oz.
