The Colt Combat Elite Government is a full-size 1911-pattern pistol chambered in 9mm Luger, built on Colt's classic Government length frame. It pairs a 5-inch stainless National Match barrel with a 9+1 round capacity and a crisp single-action only trigger system for accuracy-minded shooters who want a serious carry or duty handgun.

The slide is precision-machined from stainless steel, features aggressive front and rear serrations for positive press checks and manipulations, and is cut optic ready for direct-mount reflex red dot sights. The matching stainless steel frame is finished in Colt's signature Two-Tone Elite treatment, giving the pistol its distinctive two-tone appearance. An extended beavertail grip safety works with an ambidextrous thumb safety so the gun can be safely operated and carried by either hand.
