The Colt Combat Commander brings the legendary 1911 platform into a carry-friendly Commander format, chambered in 45 ACP with an 8+1 capacity. This Optic Ready variant pairs a 4.25" stainless steel barrel with a matte black carbon steel slide cut to accept today's most popular red dot footprints, while the matte black anodized steel frame with an extended beavertail delivers the classic 1911 shooting experience in a more compact package.

Built on Colt's time-tested single-action SAO action, the Combat Commander features a serrated slide for easier press checks and manipulations, Black Cherry G10 grips for a confident hold under recoil, and the full complement of 1911 controls including a firing pin block, grip safety, and manual thumb safety. The optic-ready slide is milled to co-witness with common reflex optics while still allowing the use of traditional iron sights. At 7.75" overall length, the Commander size sits right between a Government-size 1911 and an Officer, offering full-hand grip purchase with easier carry.
