The Colt CCU Government (Custom Carry Unit) is a full-size, optics-ready 1911-platform semi-automatic pistol chambered in 45 ACP. Built on Colt's classic Government-length frame, the CCU blends the timeless single-action-only 1911 trigger feel with modern features designed for everyday carry and defensive use, all backed by Colt's forged-steel quality and reputation.

At the heart of the CCU is a 5" Stainless National Match barrel paired with a single-action-only (SAO) trigger system that delivers the crisp, consistent break 1911 shooters expect. The pistol offers an 8+1 capacity in 45 ACP. Novak front and rear iron sights are fitted to the slide, providing a clean, snag-free sight picture for defensive shooting and rapid target acquisition.

The slide is machined from forged carbon steel and finished in a protective Matte Black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating, with serrrations for easy press checks and manipulation. The slide is factory optic ready, cut to accept popular micro red-dot patterns so you can mount your preferred reflex sight for faster, more precise aiming. The frame is forged carbon steel with a matching Black Ion Bond finish for excellent corrosion resistance and a sleek, low-glare appearance.

The CCU Government is outfitted with a beavertail grip safety that promotes a high, secure hold and helps mitigate slide bite, paired with an ambidextrous extended thumb safety that makes the pistol fully usable by both right- and left-handed shooters.
