The Colt 1911 Lightweight Commander brings the classic Commander profile into a carry-friendly package chambered in .45 ACP. Its 4.25" stainless steel barrel is paired with a matte black carbon steel slide that is cut for today's red-dot optics and finished with rear serrations for easy manipulations. The frame is built from matte black anodized aluminum, trimming weight compared to the all-steel Government model while retaining the 1911's signature handling and controls.

This Lightweight Commander is configured with an 8+1 capacity single-stack magazine and runs on Colt's proven single-action (SAO) trigger system paired with the 80-series firing system for reliable ignition. Safety is covered from every angle with a manual thumb safety, a grip safety with an extended beavertail, and an integrated firing pin safety. Black Cherry G10 grips fill the hand with a striking two-tone contrast against the matte black slide and frame.

At an overall length of 7.75", the Lightweight Commander is well suited for concealed carry, home defense, and plain-clothes duty use. The optic-ready slide lets a shooter mount a reflex sight for fast target acquisition.
