The Colt Competition is a factory-built 1911-platform pistol chambered in .38 Super, pairing a stainless steel frame and slide with a match-grade 5" National Match barrel. Built on the proven Government-size 70 Series platform, this single-action semi-auto is purpose-built for competition use while remaining an excellent choice for high-performance recreational shooting.

Designed for serious competitive shooting, the Competition features a stainless slide and frame with serrated flats to reduce glare and improve handling. The slide wears fiber optic sights for fast, intuitive target acquisition under match lighting. A beavertail grip safety and ambidextrous thumb safety round out the controls, and the pistol ships with one 9-round magazine for a 9+1 capacity.
