The Colt 1911 Combat Elite Government is a duty-ready, full-size 45 ACP semi-automatic pistol built on Colt's classic Government platform. Full stainless steel construction forms the foundation, paired with Colt's signature Two-Tone Elite finish - a polished stainless slide paired with black PVD accents on the frame for a distinctive, high-contrast look. Chambered in 45 ACP, this Series 80 combat pistol carries the traditional single-stack 8+1 capacity and delivers the proven .45 ACP performance that has made the Government Model a standard for over a century.

Designed for hard use, the Combat Elite Government features a 5" barrel with an overall length of approximately 8.5" and a weight around 36 oz. The stainless steel frame and slide are both stainless steel, with a serrated slide for easier press checks and manipulations. An upswept beavertail grip safety promotes a high, secure grip for better recoil management, while an ambidextrous thumb safety and firing pin safety add handling versatility and peace of mind for both right- and left-handed shooters.

Aiming is handled by 3-Dot Tritium Night Sights for fast, intuitive sight acquisition in low light. The grip is finished with Colt's textured black G10 grips, half checkered and scalloped for a confident hold under recoil. Checkering at 25 LPI on the front strap plus the upswept beavertail round out the package's combat-ready ergonomics, making the Combat Elite Government a full-size 1911 equally at home on duty, in home defense, or at the range.
