The Colt Combat Elite Government is a full-size 1911-platform pistol chambered in 45 ACP and built for duty, defensive, and competition use. This Government-length variant features a 5" National Match barrel, a single-action trigger, and an 8+1 magazine capacity, giving shooters the classic 1911 feel with proven .45 ACP stopping power and accuracy potential.

The slide and frame are machined from stainless steel and finished in Colt's distinctive Two-Tone Elite PVD treatment, combining corrosion resistance with a striking two-tone appearance. The slide is optic ready with factory serrations, and the frame carries an upswept beavertail for a high, controllable grip. Tritium night sights provide low-light aiming capability, while checkered black G10 grips lock the pistol securely in the hand.

An ambidextrous thumb safety and ambidextrous grip safety make this pistol equally usable for right- and left-handed shooters, and the Series 80 firing-pin safety adds a redundant internal layer of safety. At an overall length of 8.5" and a weight of approximately 36 oz, this is a full-size Government that balances recoil control with all-day-shooting weight for a 1911.
