The Cold Steel SRK Compact distills Cold Steel's legendary Survival Rescue Knife design into a more pack-friendly fixed blade that still has the build and cutting authority of the full-size SRK. It pairs a 5" clip-point blade with a full, grippy handle in a package sized for everyday outdoor carry.

The blade is forged from SK-5 high-carbon steel and finished with Cold Steel's black Tuff-Ex coating, which gives the steel a tough, low-glare, corrosion-resistant surface for hard use in wet, dirty, or marine environments. A plain edge keeps the cutting geometry simple and field-serviceable with basic sharpening tools. At roughly 4mm thick, the blade has the structural rigidity to chop, pry, and baton while still slicing cleanly through cordage, food prep, and game.
