The Cold Steel Recon 1 is a heavy-duty tactical folding knife built for everyday carry and hard use. This version, the CS27BS, pairs a 4" spear point blade in American S35VN stainless steel with a low-glare black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating for excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance in the field.

The plain edge spear point profile is symmetrically ground for clean, controlled cuts, and the knife carries a confident 5.20 oz overall. An overall length of 9.38" with a closed length of 5.38" provides full-hand purchase when deployed while still riding comfortably in the pocket. Dual thumb studs offer smooth, ambidextrous one-handed opening.

Cold Steel wraps the blade in linerless black G10 handle scales with a deeply textured surface for a positive, grippy hold in wet or gloved conditions.
