Cold Steel 36MH Drop Forged Survivalist 8" Fixed Blade 52100 High Carbon - Gray Teflon

The Cold Steel Drop Forged Survivalist is a heavy-duty, full-tang fixed blade knife forged from a single billet of drop-forged 52100 high carbon steel. As the largest model in Cold Steel's Monolithic series, the Survivalist is essentially a one-piece evolution of the classic Recon Scout profile, purpose-built for hunting, survival, bushcraft, and hard-use field work.

The knife measures 13" overall with an 8" blade, a 5" handle, and a robust 5.5mm blade thickness. It carries at a listed weight of 18.3 oz, giving it the momentum needed for chopping and batoning while still being balanced enough for controlled detail work. The blade is finished in a gray Teflon coating and is shipped factory razor-sharp.

Because the knife, guard, and handle scales are all forged as one continuous piece of 52100 high carbon steel, there are no joints, fittings, or hardware to work loose in the field. The integral guard and stippled handle scales give the Survivalist a secure grip in wet or gloved conditions. The Drop Forged Survivalist ships with a Secure-Ex sheath for safe carry and retention.
