The blade is ground from D2 tool steel, a high-carbon, high-chromium workhorse prized for edge retention and wear resistance, and finished with a low-reflectivity satin finish. The tanto profile concentrates steel at the tip for strong piercing geometry while keeping enough belly for everyday utility tasks, and a thumb stud provides one-handed opening.

Handle construction centers on zebrawood scales secured to an aluminum frame, giving the 4.25-inch grip the natural grain and color variation of the hardwood paired with the rigidity of the metal liner.
