The Cimarron MP401 Model P brings back the iconic 1873 Peacemaker-style single-action revolver in the more capable 357 Magnum / 38 Special chambering. Built on Cimarron's Pre-War 1896-1940 profile, this sixgun captures the look, balance, and handling of the classic Colt Single Action Army of that era while delivering the consistency of a modern reproduction.
At the core is a 5.50" blued barrel paired with a blued 6-shot cylinder and a forged blue steel frame, all finished in the deep, traditional blued treatment that defined the original Pre-War Single Action Army. The action is a classic single-action (SAO) with an exposed hammer for traditional thumb-cocking, paired with Cimarron's signature wide front sight for fast sight acquisition on the draw.
The grip panels are smooth one-piece walnut, fitted in the period-correct shape used through 1940. At roughly 2.50 lbs, the MP401 carries the balance and heft that has made the 1873 pattern a favorite for nearly a century and a half of Cowboy Action, target, and field shooting.
Chambered for both 357 Magnum and the softer-shooting 38 Special, the MP401 gives shooters a versatile sixgun for plinking, Cowboy Action matches, or adding a period-correct Pre-War revolver to a collection.
