The Cimarron Frontier Pre-War (1896-1940) is a faithful reproduction of arguably the most famous sixgun of the Old West. Built on Cimarron's Pre-War frame with the original case-era profile, this single-action revolver pairs a .38 Special/.357 Magnum chambering with a 5.50" blued steel barrel, a blued cylinder, and a color case hardened steel frame finished in the traditional charcoal-blue and case colors of the period.
The action is a true single-action-only (SAO) with an exposed hammer for the traditional cocked-and-fired handling, and the 6-round cylinder handles standard .38 Special cartridges while also accepting .357 Magnum for added versatility on the range. A wide front sight sits at the muzzle with the rear of the barrel serving as the rear sight, just like the original 19th-century design.
True to the period, the Frontier wears one-piece walnut grips and is built on a standard-size steel frame designed to balance naturally in the hand. This is Cimarron's go-to SAA-pattern revolver for shooters who want the look and feel of a late-19th-century Pre-War single-action in a modern factory-built reproduction.
