The Cimarron Model 1886 is a faithful modern reproduction of John Browning's legendary big-bore lever-action rifle, originally patented in 1884 and renowned for its strength and accuracy with powerful hunting cartridges. This version is chambered in .45-70 Government, a classic American big-game round, and is built around a traditional configuration that captures the look and handling of the original.
The rifle features a 26-inch octagon barrel with a 1:18" twist, paired with a case-hardened steel receiver and a blued barrel finish for a classic appearance. A fixed walnut stock in a straight-grip profile with a brown finish provides traditional lines and comfortable handling. Traditional iron sights sit at the muzzle and receiver for open-sight shooting. The lever action feeds from a tubular magazine with an 8+1 capacity, and overall length measures 47.75".
This is a brand-new, current-production Cimarron rifle ready for the field, the range, or the re-enactor's camp. It is well-suited for traditional North American big-game hunting and for Cowboy Action Shooting enthusiasts who want a hard-hitting, classic-platform rifle.
