Designated by Cimarron as the CA271, this rifle is chambered for .357 Magnum and is also rated for .38 Special, giving shooters magnum capability alongside the option to run lighter, low-recoil loads.

At the heart of the CA271 is a 20" octagon barrel finished in traditional blued steel with a 1:18" twist. The action is paired with a classic blade front sight and an adjustable rear sight for irons-only shooting. The stainless steel receiver is finished with the unmistakable color case hardened treatment, giving the action the mottled blue-and-gray patina that defined the original 1873 Winchester. A fixed walnut stock with a warm brown finish rounds out the period-correct profile, and the rifle is configured for right-handed shooters.
