The Chiappa Firearms SAA 1873 is an Italian-made, single-action revolver that brings the look and handling of the classic Western single-action into a rimfire-friendly package. Part of Chiappa's 1873 Antique series, this medium-frame revolver is chambered in .22 LR and built around a single-action only (SAO) mechanism with a traditional exposed hammer, making it an excellent choice for plinking, target practice, and informal hunting.
This configuration pairs a 4.75" antiqued steel barrel with a matching antiqued steel frame and an antique-finished six-shot cylinder. Fixed sights ride atop the barrel for straightforward aiming, while smooth black plastic grip panels keep the look aligned with the period styling of the original 1873. The medium-frame design keeps the revolver's weight balanced at 35.20 oz, with an overall length of 10.25" that handles well at the range or in the field.
Whether you're shooting for fun, working on trigger control with an inexpensive low-recoil rimfire, or running friendly single-action competitions, the Chiappa SAA 1873 medium frame delivers the look, handling, and one-handed cocking experience of a Western-style revolver in a caliber just about anyone can enjoy.
