The Charter Arms Pitbull is an extra-large-frame 45 ACP revolver built around Charter Arms' signature rimless-cartridge design. A 5-shot cylinder pairs with a dual-coil-spring extractor that positively ejects spent 45 ACP casings, bringing one of America's most proven defensive cartridges into a familiar, easy-shooting revolver package. Chambered for personal protection and sport shooting, the Pitbull offers the stopping power of the 45 ACP in a classically simple double-action revolver format.

The 2.50" barrel produces an overall length of 7.38", giving the Pitbull a compact footprint that is easy to carry while still providing a usable sight radius for close-range work. The barrel, cylinder and frame are finished in a low-glare black nitride coating over stainless steel, delivering excellent corrosion resistance and a tough, duty-ready appearance. At 22 oz, the revolver carries comfortably without weighing down a belt or holster.

Controls follow Charter Arms' traditional double-action/single-action layout with an exposed hammer for thumb-cocking and precise single-action work. A simple fixed front sight provides a snag-free sighting picture for quick engagement, and the black finger-grooved rubber grips fill the hand and tame the felt recoil of the 45 ACP cartridge for fast, controllable follow-up shots.
