The Charter Arms Pitbull is a compact, five-shot double-action/single-action revolver chambered in 40 S&W, purpose-built for personal protection and sport shooting. Part of the Pitbull line, this Large frame model pairs a short 2.30" barrel with a five-shot cylinder for a low-profile, easy-carry package well suited to concealed carry and home defense.

Charter Arms engineered the Pitbull specifically to handle rimless cartridges such as the 40 S&W without the need for moon clips. A patented spring-loaded extractor system lifts spent casings clear of the cylinder for fast, intuitive reloading, giving shooters the simplicity of a revolver without the moon-clip ritual.

The frame, cylinder, and barrel are all machined from stainless steel and finished in a non-reflective matte stainless finish that shrugs off wear and weather. The exposed hammer supports both double-action and single-action fire, and the fixed front sight keeps the sight picture simple and snag-free for close-range defensive work. A black finger-grooved rubber grip fills the hand and tames felt recoil, making the 20-ounce package comfortable to shoot and easy to carry.

With an overall length of 7.32" and a weight of just 20 oz, the Pitbull slips comfortably into a holster or range bag while still delivering the unmistakable authority of a five-shot 40 S&W revolver.
