Charter Arms Boomer .44 Special 2" 5-Shot DAO Revolver - Black Nitride

The Charter Arms Boomer is a compact, snub-nosed .44 Special revolver purpose-built for concealed carry. A scaled-down take on Charter's classic Bulldog, the Boomer keeps the large-frame .44 Special character but trims the profile to a 2" ported and tapered barrel so the gun draws cleanly from a pocket or inside-the-waistband holster without snagging on clothing.

This Boomer runs on a true DAO (Double Action Only) action with a fully concealed hammer, which removes any chance of a hammer bite or snag during the draw. The 5-shot cylinder, the tapered barrel, and the steel frame are all finished in a tough Black Nitride coating for a uniform matte-black look and solid corrosion resistance. Charter's porting at the muzzle of the tapered barrel vents gases upward to help tame muzzle flip and felt recoil on .44 Special loads.

Up top, the revolver intentionally ships sightless - no front blade to hang up on cover garments and no rear notch to align in a hurry - keeping the top strap as smooth as possible for a snag-free draw. Control comes from black finger-grooved rubber grips that sit naturally in the hand and stay positive under recoil. The Boomer weighs in at 20 oz unloaded and measures 7.32" overall, making it light and short enough for everyday carry yet heavy enough to make a .44 Special a comfortable shooter. Designed primarily for personal protection, the Boomer is equally at home as a pack-and-field revolver for sport shooting.
