The Charter Arms Bulldog is a compact, big-bore revolver chambered in the powerful 44 S&W Special cartridge and built around Charter Arms' signature large frame design. Originally conceived by Doug McClenahan, the Bulldog has been a long-running favorite for personal and home protection, packing five shots of 44 Special into a small, concealable package that has earned a reputation as one of the most versatile concealed-carry revolvers ever offered.

This Standard Bulldog carries a 2.50" barrel and a 5-shot cylinder, all wrapped in a rugged steel frame with a black stainless finish across the barrel, cylinder, and frame for everyday corrosion resistance and durability. The cylinder swings out for fast reloads, and the revolver runs in a traditional double-action / single-action (DA/SA) mode with an exposed hammer for deliberate single-action fire when desired.

Handling is anchored by the black finger-grooved rubber grip, which fits naturally in the hand and helps tame 44 Special recoil. A simple fixed front sight keeps the sight picture clean and snag-free for daily carry. The Bulldog comes in at roughly 21 oz unloaded with an overall length of 7.32", making the 2.50" Bulldog one of the larger, more shootable concealed-carry revolvers in Charter Arms' lineup, equally suited for personal protection, hiking in the backcountry, or casual range sessions.
