The CCI Pest Control Shotshell in 10mm Auto is a purpose-built pest-control load built around a rigid plastic shot capsule filled with #9 bismuth shot. CCI developed this round to deliver a tight, dense pattern out of a 10mm pistol - about a 10-inch pattern at three paces - for humanely dispatching snakes, rats, and other small varmints at close range without over-penetrating or sending lead shot into the surrounding area.

Each cartridge uses an aluminum case loaded with a 105-gr shot assembly, factory-rated at 1250 fps from a 5" test barrel. The bismuth shot is non-toxic and far safer to use around livestock, pets, and edible-game situations than conventional lead shot, making these a go-to load for farm, ranch, and suburban pest work where lead-free projectiles are preferred or required.
