The Burn Proof Gear Suppressor Cover Heavy is a fire-retardant heat shield built to wrap a hot suppressor and protect the shooter and surrounding gear from surface burns. At 8.5 inches long and made to fit 1.5-inch-diameter suppressor bodies, this Heavy cover is sized for full-length rifle cans and stays put without clamps or zip ties thanks to its patented no-slip fit design.

The construction pairs a DuPont Kevlar outer wrap with a fiberglass mesh inner liner, both built from fully fire-retardant materials. The cover is rated for sustained temperatures up to 1000 degrees F, with the inner fiberglass sleeve tolerating peaks up to 2000 degrees F, making it suitable for both semi-auto and full-auto hosts. It is recommended for common centerfire rifle calibers including .223 Remington, 300 Blackout, .308 Winchester, 5.56 NATO, and 7.62 NATO.

Beyond direct burn protection, the cover reduces mirage distortion through optics during long strings of fire and shields barricades, bags, and kit from radiated heat.
