The Browning X-Bolt 2 Mountain Pro Carbon Fiber is a purpose-built, lightweight bolt-action rifle chambered in 300 PRC and engineered for serious big game hunting and long-range precision shooting. Part of Browning's flagship X-Bolt 2 line, the Mountain Pro trims weight without sacrificing accuracy, giving hunters a packable rifle capable of reaching out to extended ranges with the hard-hitting 300 PRC cartridge.
At its core is a stainless steel bolt-action receiver finished in a tough Carbon Gray Cerakote for corrosion resistance in harsh backcountry conditions. The 26-inch barrel is carbon-fiber-wrapped, features a 1:8" twist for stabilizing long, heavy bullets, and is threaded for suppressor or muzzle-device use. A Browning Recoil Hawg muzzle brake is installed from the factory to tame felt recoil and help the shooter stay on target for fast follow-up shots.
The rifle feeds from a flush-fitting detachable 3-round box magazine for an overall 3+1 capacity well suited to the long-action format. Controls are classic X-Bolt 2: a top-tang safety and an adjustable trigger that lets the shooter fine-tune pull weight to preference. There are no iron sights, so the receiver is ready for the shooter's preferred optic mounting system.
Weight is held down by a carbon fiber stock finished in Browning's Digital Camouflage pattern with subdued gray graphics. An adjustable comb lets the shooter precisely align the eye with their scope for a comfortable, repeatable cheek weld in any shooting position. Overall length is 46.75" and unloaded weight comes in at approximately 6.90 lbs, putting this Mountain Pro firmly in the lightweight backcountry class.
Whether the hunt involves steep stalks after sheep and goats, western elk country, or simply pushing the 300 PRC out to its effective range across open country, the Browning X-Bolt 2 Mountain Pro Carbon Fiber delivers a refined balance of weight, accuracy, and terminal performance.
